Welcome to Home on the Ranch, your NEW Doggy Daycare and Boarding Facility! Located on ten acres in one of the oldest subdivisions of Belgrade, MT - just a mile off of Jackrabbit, you're transported to a quiet serene setting with gravel roads, spacious pastures and eclectic animals.

With our in-home dog boarding and personalized day care services, our team's sole purpose is dedicated to enriching your pet's experiences through carefully paired group play, structured solo time and maintaining individual training.

We treat your dog like one of our own, and are ready to provide tailored packages and experiences for the young, old, playful or grumpy - no matter your dog's personality, we can make them happy!

About Us

Hi, I'm Stephanie, and I love animals - especially dogs. I know, we all do, right? That's why you're here... because you love YOUR dog and want your dog's needs to be met! Unfortunately, for many of us, work is a requirement - even though it gets in the way of all the fun things we want to do.

Well, I've been blessed with an opportunity to turn my property into a doggy-haven and open my home to others.

I'm a long-time dog handler with years of experience in high-drive, high-energy breeds and with a strong focus on behavior work and giving special needs dogs fulfilling and enriched lives. In my 20 years as an adult, I've given many dogs opportunities to change their stars while learning from each and every one. I've also dabbled in sports and once enjoyed competing in agility, novice level obedience, and working in nursing homes with my CGC and Certified Therapy Dog.

Together, with my amazingly supportive husband - we are opening our home so that we can share our knowledge, passion, and never-ending love for our tail-wagging friends.

Our Facility

We are situated on ten grassy acres that horses, dogs, cats, chickens and a toddler all call home. Our one acre yard is split into two pieces, with a large portion dedicated to our guests with brand new 5' tall secure fencing, an attached temperature controlled bunkhouse, a semi-enclosed deck with windows and fans for all seasons, and a doggy door into the dog-proofed section of the house.

The Yard: Over 1/4 acre of escape-artist-tested fencing, complete with shade, grass, doggy pool and plenty of toys! It has a spacious, fully covered, and mostly enclosed, deck equipped with windows and fans to provide a perfect escape from the midday sun.

The Bunkhouse: The yard-attached bunkhouse is our general headquarters for all things pupperdogs! It has all sizes of individual crates with comfy beds, for those who like to nap alone; a couch and beds on the floor for those who like to sprawl out, and most importantly - Air Conditioning and Heat, so we can always be comfortable in the ever-changing Montana weather! This, and the yard, is where we will all spend most of our days together.

The House: We have split our house up to have a dedicated, dog-proof area that will allow them to be able to come and go as they please with us - while giving a safe boundary from the on-site feral toddler (he has not passed obedience school, yet!). Overnight and long-term care dogs will have free-range of the entire house with us after hours, and be treated like one of our own.

We Do Daycare, Differently

Unregulated dog parks and large-group/unstructured day cares can be overstimulating and foster an environment that can make even the most stable dogs become reactive. Here at Home on the Ranch, we do things differently. We place a high priority on the well-being of every dog, offering personalized care and support to meet individual needs - both physically and mentally.

We understand that sometimes providing a fulfilling and enriching life for a dog isn't always accessible - whether it be from lack of time, experience or knowledge. That's what we are here for, that is what we are passionate about. Every day we aim to provide quality experiences, one-on-one time and custom-tailored enrichment opportunities so that each and every dog gets what they need.
